New to online betting or casino games? This plain-language glossary covers the most important terms every Pakistani player should know before placing their first wager.
Asian Handicap
A form of sports betting — popular in cricket and football — that eliminates the draw outcome by giving one team a virtual head start. It levels the playing field between mismatched sides and often offers better value than standard 1X2 markets.
Over-Under (Totals)
A bet on whether the combined score or stat (runs, goals, points) will be higher or lower than a bookmaker's set line. For example, betting "over 6.5 sixes" in a PSL innings is an over-under wager.
Odds Formats
The three common ways to display betting odds. Decimal odds (2.50) show total return per unit staked. Fractional odds (3/2) show profit relative to stake. American odds (+150 / -200) are used mainly in US markets. pkrapp defaults to decimal for clarity.
RTP (Return to Player)
The long-run percentage of total wagered money that a slot or casino game pays back to players. A slot with 96% RTP returns Rs 96 for every Rs 100 wagered on average over millions of spins. Higher RTP means a lower house edge.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage the casino holds over the player on any given game. A house edge of 2% means the casino keeps Rs 2 per Rs 100 wagered over the long run. Roulette, blackjack, and baccarat all have different house edges.
Wagering Requirement
Also called rollover or playthrough. If you claim a Rs 1,000 bonus with a 20x wagering requirement, you must wager Rs 20,000 in total bets before any bonus-derived winnings can be withdrawn. Always check this before accepting a bonus offer.
Live Dealer Casino
Games streamed in real time from a professional studio, featuring human dealers running baccarat, roulette, blackjack, or game-show style titles. You interact via a chat interface while watching the live feed — the closest experience to a physical casino.
Slot Volatility
Describes how often and how much a slot pays out. High volatility slots pay large amounts rarely; low volatility slots pay smaller amounts more frequently. Medium volatility sits in between. Choose based on your bankroll and risk tolerance.
Progressive Jackpot
A jackpot prize pool that grows every time a player spins without hitting the top prize. These are often networked across multiple casinos, allowing pots to reach millions of rupees before one lucky player triggers the win.
Cashback
A promotional offer where the casino refunds a percentage of your net losses over a set period — weekly or monthly. For example, 10% cashback on Rs 5,000 net losses returns Rs 500 to your balance, giving you a second chance to play.
KYC (Know Your Customer)
The identity verification process required by international licensing standards. Players must submit a valid CNIC and proof of payment method before making their first withdrawal. KYC protects players against fraud and ensures regulatory compliance.
In-Play / Live Betting
